Ability/Function: The Codec 3000 can be used as a walkie talkie or a radio, letting the user contact another radios by two way: With the frequency that the other radio have or staying at no more than 2 km from the person that you want to talk to. It can have malfuntions and maybe some errors in the transmission, deppending on the distance. More than this, the codec is a PC program on some kind of mini computer shaped like a radio.

History: Leon obtanied this Codec from his general on the U.S. governement. He said that this Codec was once used by a great soldier, and now they wanted to give it to him because of the succesful missions that he did. When they gave it to him, the radio appeared to be a little old, so Leon middified it a little with the help of some friends, and he managed to create a really good kind of walkie talkie. He had used it on all his missions since then. It was the same radio that he used on Resident Evil 4, and he will use it until the end of times. (If someone noticed, I liked the story with Metal Gear Solid)
